| heyyy everyone!!!!
guess what? ish been exactly a YEAR since my last entry...it was so hard to not update >.<...so a lot as happened since...but this entry is gonna mostly be bout CTY aka. nerd camp =].
so first, everyone came together on july 16th. we all went through registration and i found out i was in whelan and in whitney's hall. everyone got to the rooms and met the ra and started to unpack. then all the parents left and the student were now left for three weeks wit the awesome ra's. i found out who were the people in my hall...and they are: mary, lila, alison, theresa, julia, catherine, pertz, mimi, chloe, connie, and ofcourse our AWESOME ra whitney =]. we had an icebreaker learning everyone's names and something unique about them. then of course there was the orientation for the start of the CTY 2006_LMU_Session 2. we saw all the ra's of lmu and staff. finally we had our first dinner! and ofcourse we all went to social time for the first time in the three weeks =]...and after THAT was our first hall meeting too and then our first night of sleep in the dorms. the next day, we all woke up early for our first day of class. i met my teacher murray and my ta faustina. and the rest of the guys in my class which were: jonathan, geoffrey, jacob, ben, terrence, greg, zach, richard, asher, harry, alvin, stephen, sam, and marc. During the day, we had 3 hours of lecture (9-12), 2 hours of lab(1-3), and then two hour of study hall at night (7-9). during lectures we sat and took notes on electrical engineering and then during the labs, we learned how to solder, breadboard, and build robots. LMAO...i cant solder...the iron hates me...and i hate it >.<... if ou ask anyone in my class...they'll tell you that i always hated cuz i couldnt do it. anyweiz...during studyhall, we usually studied and do homework assigned by the teacher. During classes, we would always have debates with the teachers and especiall during the labs where everyone is so fustrated about straying wires, short circuits, and etc. lol.
of course even though it's called nerd camp...we did so much more than just classes. we had all the best activities, dances, weekends, and social times. some awesome activites were ultimate frisbee, texas hold'em, disney movie appreciation, disney sing a long, and much more. oooohh there was also the lice lol. 6 out of the 11 people in my hall had lice >.<. it first started out with mimi saying her head itched and burned. then lila went and looked at her haid and said she had lice. whitney calls the health people and then we had to walk to the health office where they checked our heads for lice. thankfully i didnt have it...but my poor roomate mary had it =/. but everyone got showered and then all of our clothes and stuff were washed. but then we were known as the lice hall after that >.< on happier thought.... there were the dances on fridays that everyone looked foward to =]. The first dance was a costume dance. i dressed up as a turtle ^^...puahaha and THANKS PROANNE FOR UR WONDERFUL TURTLE =]...then the second dance was ocean paradise. we all got free leis and there was also the limbo. then the last dance was the semi-formal dance where it was the saddest cuz the next day we had to leave =/. in all the dances we played american pie (of course), stairway to heaven, and a bunch more which names i cant recall >.<. there was one song where everyone ran around in a circle holding hands >.<...it was fun but tiring lol. i sure wished we had more dances tho. then there were the weekend activites!! first weekend there was the quiz bowl and carnival and movie night. Whitney's hall one THIRD in the quiz bowl!!! yeayuh!! woot woot! we competed in different subjects and then got to pie PAUL in the face =]]]....GO CATHERINE!!! ^^...there was movie night where we first dressed our RA as a super hero and then watched the incredibles. whitney was the dancing diva lol. then the carnival was a bunch of games and things to do for three hours, and if you win you get signitures. WHITNEY's HALL WON!!! heck yes!!! =] then we also got to order pizza and go to ralph's to buy food. the next weekend we went to viva fresh which was SOO good...one of the best mexican foods i've tasted in awhile. it was so nice to eat something edible. then we came back for the cty talent show =]. where there were many acts, like rubix cubes, piano, singing and much more. there was the famous casino night too. where the halls competed with each other for the most money by gambling =] Then on sunday there was WATERDAY!!! it was so fun even though it was kinda cloudy and cold. people threw buckets of water at each other and ofcourse there were dry activities. after, we got to pie ra's and whitney's hall chose JZ!!! lol...and thanks to catherine's wonderful aim =]. there was also the last night, where we spent the last night in our rooms. we talked so much that we were threatened to get kicked out >.<...but other than that it was fun.
i wish i could've stayed in cty forever...in just three weeks i got to make some really close friendships with people, instead of some friendships that took years to build...three weeks just isnt enough but even though it's over...the memories we had are things we'll never forget...thank you to all the people who made my cty one of the best i've ever had: my hall, my class, amy, sarah, julia, allie, victoria, kiko, heidi, allegra, eugene, allen, daniel, max, justin, nader, mitchell, and everyone else (sorry if i didnt write ur name, tell me to add it on)...i hope to see you all next year...or even sooner. . At lunch they as in u kno...hannah joyce jenni n sebo...dey were kicking my hand...iono y...but wuteva...n den jenni kicked up and then slammed her foot to my pinky. It hurt liek motha *beep*...yea...lol. Now ish swollen liek a bubble..
. en den in mekenian...well...she was moving the guys dat talked a lot to different tables...and then brandon was gonna be one of them moving...n dere was a empty seat REALLy close to meeh. i started to really blush 
so i hid under my book n jacket...n den mekenian was leik wtheck???
. n den well...a lot of ppl knew wut was happening..lol...n den yea...i was teased quite a bit after...o well...dats how my day went...not so bad...but the aint the best either.
